Judgments
Oxford Dictionary on ‘judgment’:
- an opinion that you form about something after thinking about it carefully; the act of making this opinion known to others;
- something bad that happens to somebody that is thought to be a punishment from God;
- the ability to make sensible decisions after carefully considering the best thing to do
Window girl
I was thinking about judgments the other day after one of our courtesans told me that she met this girl working behind the windows. You know, the Red Light District. She said to me she was disgusted with this girl who gave about 10 blowjobs a night. I was very surprised and couldn’t react immediately. This was mainly because I didn’t know what exactly it was about her statement that bothered me. I thought about it for a while and decided to write about it.
Ranking
We represent escort ladies. Other terms for escort girls are courtesans, companions, sex workers, models, high class escorts, prostitutes, call girls, hookers or whores. They’re just words. It’s the intention one has when using them which makes the difference. In fact they are all words describing the same action: offering sex to someone who pays for it.
We are operating in a field which for centuries now is not generally accepted by society. Prostitutes in the past and even nowadays have been persecuted and killed because of what they do. But here we are, so called high class escorts (is it high class because the price is high, because we are well educated or because we want to distinguish ourselves?) judging over others in the same industry. Stating that théy are not socially acceptable according to ‘our’ standards. They are the standards of the condemned who condemn others. Condemned ones who uplift themselves by placing themselves on a higher level than others who do the same (despicable) thing, but in a different way.
What is the system here?
I think that belonging to a group that is disapproved of by society, often results in the individuals of this group making subcategories ranking from ‘low’ to ‘high’. They then place themselves in the ‘top’ position in relation to the ‘lower’ one. The cocaine addict (drug addict) is happy not to be a desperate heroin junkie. The BDSM practitioner (a pervy kinkster) distances himself from people who are into pee, poo or blood, because that is so disgusting. The high class escort girl (paid to offer sex) is delighted to be considered high class and not a low level window worker. And what about the tax lawyer (often frowned upon by society) who feels good about not being a devious criminal lawyer. They all have something in common: they are ‘the judged ones’ who themselves judge others within the same field or group.
Acceptance
What do they want to achieve by doing so? Acceptance by a society who disapproved of them in the first place? Being able to draw the conclusion that by placing themselves higher up in rank, they are not the same as the ones rejected by society? In other words: Society and mainstream don’t refer to ús, when they say that what we do is unacceptable. No, they mean the lower rankings in our group. We, on the other hand, are the ones in the top of the ranking and should therefore actually not be seen as being part of that group.
The Bible
What does the bible actually say on this subject: “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned.” Sometimes I do like the bible.
